Your Position
At De Rooy, a leading family-owned company in the high-tech industry, we create impressive products every day that we’re proud of. Our largest CNC milling machine, the PAMA Vertiram, is capable of machining products of impressive dimensions: workpieces up to 14,500 × 4,600 × 2,850 mm and weighing up to 50 metric tons. As a CNC Miller, you’ll be one of our technical specialists. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning your work as efficiently as possible to achieve optimal machine utilization.
- Clamping and aligning complex products. This requires knowledge, insight, and creativity on your part.
- Managing tools, inspecting and replacing tools.
- Continuously improving the manufacturing process and, as a result, the manufacturability of products.
- Conducting control measurements.
What you bring to the role

- You have completed a technical qualification at MBO level in mechanical engineering, machining or a similar field.
- You must have at least 3 years’ work experience as a CNC miller.
- You have experience and/or an interest in producing one-off items and small series.
- Experience with Heidenhain is preferred.
- You have a good sense of spatial awareness and can read (complex) drawings.
- You’re a hands-on person who can work in a structured way; you’re both a thinker and a worker.
Our terms and conditions of employment
- We offer the following options:
– Working in two shifts consists of a 5-day working week with alternating early and late shifts. You will work 38 hours per week and the working hours are:
Monday to Thursday from 6.00 am to 2.30 pm or
from 2.30 pm to 10.30 pm.
On Fridays from 6.00 am to 12.00 pm and from 12.00 pm to 6.00 pm.
And once every four weeks, you’ll work for four hours on a Saturday.
– A 5-day working week (39 hours) with working hours from 8.00 am to 4.30 pm and one day from 8.00 am to 3.30 pm.
– A 4-day working week (38 hours) with working hours from 8.00 am to 6.00 pm.
– Part-time work is negotiable. - In addition to an excellent salary commensurate with your experience and the role, you will receive a 20% shift allowance.
- Overtime is paid at 180% or compensated with time off.
- We adhere to the Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Metalworking Industry, particularly with regard to wage increases under the agreement. We also offer a pension plan through PMT.
- You will receive 200 hours’ holiday entitlement, with no fixed days off or construction industry closures, and, of course, 8% holiday pay.
- Travel expenses (commuting) at 25 cents per kilometre.
- An interesting dividend payment.
- We want to achieve great things together, so our aim is to work with you towards a permanent contract.
- Training opportunities aimed at personal development and versatility in operating our machinery.
