Within the cylindrical grinding department, we machine a variety of round products, including shafts, tubes and circular knives. This technique integrates seamlessly with the turning process and is used when there are precise tolerances or specific surface roughnesses.
Our cylindrical grinding department originated from the original knife sharpening shop and over the years has grown into an important discipline within our company. Today we carry out assignments for various sectors, such as mechanical engineering, but also still for companies in the graphic and steel industries.
The market has increasingly high demands for dimensions and accuracy. With our modern CNC grinding machines and our expertise, we deliver cylindrical grinding work that meets the highest quality standards.

Cylindrical grinding
In our fully air-conditioned production environment, we achieve the highest accuracy with our CNC cylindrical grinding machines. We can grind both internally and externally, at different angles and in one program of cylindrical grinding. We also have a grinding machine that allows us to precisely round grind different shapes for you.
On our hydrostatically bearing Danobat G91, we can grind large workpieces with dimensions of up to 4000 x Ø1000 mm very precisely for you.
Looking for a specialist in centerless grinding? For large series, but also in combination with cylindrical grinding, this technique can be very attractive price-wise. Both transit grinding and insert grinding are among the options.
